What Causes Irregular Periods, Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding With Abdominal Cramps?
Hi so I have irregular periods, I would say for the last 3 months I ve been getting it on or just about the 11th of the month. I still have no gotten it this month yet. And today I had very dark blood come out for only about an hour and then nothing after that at all. So my question is, what do you think that means. I had very bad stomach pains about 2 weeks ago and have a pounding headache today. But I ve never just bled for such a short time.
When my patients complain of dark bloody vaginal discharge, first and most likely diagnosis is implantation bleeds. This is bleeding due to attachment of a newly fertilized egg or an embryo.
However, we confirm this phenomenon by conducting a pregnancy test. I would suggest you visit your doctor to get this test done.
If pregnancy is excluded, the other common cause is old blood from previous menstruation.
I hope i have answered your question.
Please contact me if you have any more questions.
Best wishes
