What Causes Irregular Periods After Having A Tear In Fallopian Tubes?

Hi had a heterotopic pregnancy october 2014,they managed to save my tube even though it started tearing, doctor said I have to wait 3 months before I try again, after the emergency operation I got my period straight away, after that it took 7 weeks for my period to start, the cycle after that took 6 weeks and the last cycle took 30 days (my normal cycle) it has now been 35 days since my lmp. I have done a hpt but came back negative. Is it possible that I am pregnant? Should I test again?

Hi,
I understand your concern.
Though tear in fallopian tube is not directly concerned with menstrual irregularity, the possible causes of irregularity I think of are-
- A physiological hormonal imbalance after the removal of pregnancy,
- Possible inflammation & affection of ovaries which lie in near vicinity of tubes - may result in ovulation problem & irregular menses.
* You need to get a through clinical examination/ investigations including hormonal estimation, USG pelvis -to find exact cause & follow it with a specific treatment guided by a gynecologist.
Thanks.
