General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

An emergency contraceptive pill like plan B alters the hormone cycles in your body. This would tend to alter your periods as well. If the bleeding continues, check in with your OBGYN. If it subsides you should be ok. Do not worry.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
