What Causes Irregular Periods After Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pill?

Hi, I took an ECP after an unprotected sex and had my menses at the end of the cycle for barely four days. I later had another menses after two weeks, for six days this time. However, it s been six weeks then and I haven t had the next one yet. Is everything alright?

Emergency contraceptive pills alter your hormonal balance temporarily to make your uterus unfavorable for conception. It commonly causes changes in your cycles. They will normalize soon. Keep track of your periods and it should get back to normal durations and frequency shortly.
