What Causes Irregular Periods Along With Negative Test Results For Pregnancy?

Hi menstrual cycle for past 2mos (12-May & 12-July) 31 day cycle. Today 39day cycle still no period. negative urine pregnancy test on the 4th & 8th day of missed period. Had protected sex with condom 1 month ago. and on fasting for 29days due to ramadan

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Delay in periods is one of the signs of pregnancy. But if you had protected intercourse, then the possibility of pregnancy is little less.
Also, you are stating that your urine pregnancy test is negative.
Now, to confirm that pregnancy might have caused missed period or not following things can be done:
1. Get your HCG levels checked in blood
2. Get a trans-vaginal ultrasound scan (TVS) done to know the status of pregnancy.
If these reports are indicative negative for pregnancy, get your FSH, LH and Prolactin levels checked in blood, as hormonal disturbance could have caused delay in periods.
Kindly visit Gynecologist with report for opinion and further management.
