What Causes Irregular Periods And Acne On The Face?

Hi I am 30 years of age, have two kids. My concern is, I had an irregular period just this month. I had twice period in one month, almost five days on the first week of the month and almost four days on the third week of the month. I am recently taking micro pill and decided to stop it since my menstruation occur twice for this month. I also had acne break out all over my face, specially on my chin. Also I noticed that I loss lots of weight that I don t want to, much prefer to gain weight. Is this a hormonal imbalance? Do I need to shift to other pills like Diane 35 or Althea. Much appreciated if you can enlighten me with this. Thank you. Daisyjade

Hi I think it can be a side effect of micro pill. Sometimes breakthrough bleeding happens. It happens due to hormonal imbalances. So, don't worry about it. It will go away on its own. You can try some other pills like Diane 35. But acne and other symptoms will go on its own. Hope it helps.
