What Causes Irregular Periods And Lower Back Pain After Taking Unwanted-72?

Hello. My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex yesterday and immediately took an Unwanted 72 pill. She had an emergency pill about 3 months back and suffered from side-effects as are mentioned in various online sites, lower back pain, nausea, irregular periods for 3 months after taking the pill... My question is- is there any way to ease the pain of the side effects? Thank you for your help.

Hi,

Slight menstrual irregularities and cramps can happen after taking birth control pills.

These will settle by itself in couple of days.

You can take analgesics like Mefenamic Acid for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
