What Causes Irregular Periods And Pink Vaginal Spotting After IUD Placement?
When I wipe after I pee I notice it s a little pink. I have an IUD and a new boyfriend. He was checked and told me he was clean. I have no pain or discomfort but my period hasn t come in about 2 months. I m under an incredible amount of stress and I ve always had irregular periods but usually don t see pink when I wipe on a daily basis. It s been going on for about 2 or 3 weeks. Should I be worried?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Change in menstrual bleeding, lighter periods, spotting, brown discharge, heavy bleeding or sometimes stopping of periods can occur as side effect while on IUD contraceptive devices. Such side effects are generally noticed during the initial few months after the IUD placement. Gradually, such symptoms should subside and your periods should normalize. However, in case such symptoms continues to bother you, you need to seek medical attention promptly and change the contraception which could suit you. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
