What Causes Irregular Periods And Spotting Of Brown Blood?

Hi, I am a women 49 years old my last period lasted for longer than it should have done. I contacted the doctor who sent a sample away for a uti, that came back clear. I had swabs taken which came back with thrush. My period is late and for the last 5 days when I go for a wee when wiping myself there is brown blood
