What Causes Irregular Periods, Constipation And Lower Abdominal Pain?

Hi Doctor, I have been suffering from lower abdominal and lower back pain that feels like labour pain, as well as irregular periods. I am very fatigued and have been experiencing bleeding after intercourse. My appetite has been very poor and I have been having bouts of constipation as well as diarrhea. My abdomen is very bloated now. I have never experienced this before. Can you give my any thoughts as to what this could be? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I can think of pelvic inflammation, after reading your query. You need to get a deep vaginal swab / ultrasonography of pelvis along with few other needful investigations, which would help the diagnosis followed by cause specific treatment. Please consult a gynecologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
