What Causes Irregular Periods In A 51 Year Old?

I m 51 years old and have always had regular periods until the last six months sometimes skipping a month but this time I ve had my period for nearly 21 days now. Should I be concerned. I made an appt today with my doctor but can t get in until Sept 15h.

Your symptoms at your age seems to be related to perimenopause. Irregular periods are one of the common symptoms of perimenopause. So, I suggest you not to be worried.
