What Causes Irregular Periods While On Birth Control Pills?

I m on birth control (pill) and I had my period on 1/9/2018until 1/11/2018. I started my period again in the 1/23/2018 which I am still on as of today 1/30/2018. it s light but consistent and there s a clear stretchy discharge. Im also having cramps which is not normal for me to get cramps.
