What Causes Irregular Periods With Clots At The Age Of 57?
I am a 57 year old woman. My period stopped for about a year and a half, but came back about 6 months ago. Some times it is heavy some times light. However this time round I have had a light period for about 4 weeks with out a break, but the last two days is has been heavy with some clotting. Is this normal?

Suggestive of postmenopausal bleeding. Based on the history you seem to have abnormal postmenopausal bleeding which needs to be thoroughly evaluated by a gynecologist to rule out uterine polyps, endometrial hyperplasia or cancers of the uterus or cervix.
