What Causes Irregular Periods With Weight Gain And Bad Breath?
my question is, my adult daughter who is 25 years old has pregnancy symptoms, tender breasts, irregular periods -(has had normal 28 day cycles periods since she started menstruating at 12 years) has gained a lot of weight, tastes metal in her mouth for the last four months. She has been to emerg 4 times in the last few weeks for irregular spotting issues and no doctor will take her concerns seriously and the only tests are for urine pregnancy test which is always negative., We are very frustrated and don t know how to get the message across that there is something not working properly in her body causing all this. Help!
Thank you for posting your question. I can understand your concern. Weight gain, missing a period , fullness of breasts can definitely be seen in pregnancy but these are not the confirmatory. The confirmatory tests are urine pregnancy test and an obstetric ultrasound. From what you have written, it may hint towards polycystic ovary. It needs a series of tests. What I would suggest is dont panic , consult a gynaecologist . He/she can help you further. You can post any other question.
