What Causes Irregular Periods,heavy Bleeding And Dizziness?

Hi I ve had my period for twenty-three days straight with heavy bleeding. It stopped for about a week and now I m bleeding again. I m experiencing dizziness, chest pain, fatigue and abdominal cramps as well. I went to the gynecologist about two and a half weeks ago and she didn t seem concerned and just switched my birth control. Should I be concerned?

It happens like this when you are taking birth control pills as they are hormonal in nature. It takes some time for your body to respond to it and come back to normal. Hence, don't be worried. Initially your periods may be early or late. Gradually it will regularise.
For your other symptoms, it may be due to anaemia. Hence take iron and protein supplements for a month and you should find yourself better over time.
