What Causes Irregular Spotting After Unprotected Sex?

i have been on birth control for two months now and i am sexually active. we usually use a condom but a few times we havent. the second week into this months pills i spotted. this week i should be on my period but i havent started am i pregnant or is it just the pill making me irregualar?
