What Causes Irregular Vaginal Bleeding After Having Plan B?

Hello, I have been having vaginal pain (initially after sex, then eventually it became constant) for over a year, and my doctor had diagnosed me with Vaginismus. I had been seeing a physical therapist for this pain, but I still have it. I usually take the Jolessa birth control pill. I missed two doses, and then had unprotected sex, so the next day I took Plan B. A week and a half later, I started having light spotting. Four days later, I started having a heavy period. Today, a small bit of white flesh with a little bit of blood came out. Did I have a miscarriage? Could I have endometriosis?

Hello,

Irregular bleeding or spotting can happen after you take the morning-after pill. Getting your period after taking emergency contraception (EC) is a sign that you're not pregnant. It's also normal for your period to be heavier or lighter, or earlier or later than usual after you have taken EC.

Chances of miscarriage is very low. If you are suspecting endometriosis, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist. Get per vaginal examination done. You will also heave to get an USG (Uterus) done to get a detailed study. You will be treated accordingly. In the meantime, stay at rest. Do not take unnecessary stress. Take home made nutritious food and avoid addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
