What Causes Irregular Vaginal Bleeding Despite Taking Birth Control Pill?
I am a 22 year old female. I have been on the birth control pill for about four years now. I often forget to take it causing breakthrough bleeding or multiple periods. Recently I had unprotected sex on one of the days I forgot the pill. Two days later I started having the bleeding again from forgetting the pill. Is it possible that I may still have gotten pregnant even with the bleeding now? I don t have regular cycles so I don t know when I would be ovulating.

The only reason is because you forget to take it on occasions, then it is not effective and can cause such a bleed.
