What Causes Irregular Vaginal Bleeding With Cramping And Soreness?

Hello, I have been having irregular vaginal bleeding for a little over a week. I feel crampy and sore. My dr office is close today and i am not sure if i should go to the er. I am on the birth control that allows me to have periods every three months and i shouldnt be having one now, never had an issue before.
