What Causes Irritability While On Xanax?

My fiancé is taking Xanax for his nerves also to sleep I think I can see a definite personality change(irratability) He has been on it for almost 3 years.Thank You Trisha

Xanax can be associated with irritability in some persons though if the change has been recent there may be another cause (since he has been using this medication for 3 years)

You may want to rule out other causes first before determining that it is the xanax.
Psychological issues, stress, abnormal electrolytes , acute illness can cause change in personality
