What Causes Irritable Bowel Syndrome While On Anticoagulants?

My friend has had blood clots in her legs and now must give herself injections of an anticoagulant for 3 months. She hates it because it is aggrevating her irritable bowel symdrome. Could it be that she could take a different injectable and not have this aggrevation?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

No, there is no reason to assume that the anticoagulants affect her IBS. Continue the medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
