Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
The symptoms you present could be caused by a
respiratory tract infection, lungs infection or allergy to the blowing air-conditioner.With night sweat and perspiration, it points more to a respiratory infection. Most respiratory infections are caused by viruses which may need only symptomatic treatment and bacteria which will need antibiotics.A possible
lung infection like
pneumonia and TB will have to be eliminated in your case.Given the duration of your symptoms, i will advise you see a Doctor for examination and work-ups like throat swap test/culture, a chest X-ray, sputum exam and a full blood count. These tests will help to identify the cause of the problem and will tell us if the infection has reached the lungs.
In the meantime, you may take an anti-histamine like premalan, an anti-cough agent like
benzonatate, an anti-pyretic like
paracetamol and if obstructed, you can add a mucolytic like carbocysteine.Depending on the clinical judgement of the Doctor and results of the tests, an antibiotic may be added. You should drink enough fluids, avoid cold, avoid smoke/dust.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
