What Causes Irritation And Burning At The Opening Of The Penis?

On saturday I started getting painful erections and noticed that my kidneys hurt, there is irritation around the opening on the top of my penis, it burns to urinate, i have a frequent urge to urinate, and cannot get a full erection, meaning it is softer than usual and when not erect it feels mushy and I have a feeling of fullness in my testicles. There is also a feeling of sensitivity and soreness when I touch that area and it just doesnt look normal. Prior to this I was having sex on an average of 3-6 times a day with the same girl for about a month. I've also felt very tired the past few days, went to the doctor today and was started on 3 days of levaquin but didnt really get too much in depth because it was just the PA, not the DR. Does this sound like a UTI or can it be something more serious? Thank you

Hello,

Irritation and burning at the opening of the penis associated with painful erections and hurting in the kidney area is commonly due to urethritis, UTI, or trauma from a penis injury. It can be due to yeast infection or sexually transmitted infections (gonorrhea, etc.). You are suggested to get clinically examined by a urologist, get urinalysis (R/E and C/S) done to detect UTI, E.coli, urethritis, etc. You will be accordingly treated with the required antibiotics.

Take PPIs and Spasmol (spasmoproxyvon) / Acetaminophen, one SOS for relief from pain (hurt) and any inflammation. Your treating doctor may recommend you to get tested for gonorrhea and STI. Get the tests done. If reports come positive you will be treated with antibiotics and antivirals. Avoid sex for a couple of days. Avoid multiple partners. Always perform safe sex.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
