What Causes Irritation And Burning Of Skin After Using Hair Removal Cream?

i am a female and i used veet hair removal cream (sensitive skin) on my face to remove slight mustache hair. i followed the instructions but then it started to burn, so i cleaned it off. a few seconds later the skin where i applied the cream started to go red, now it s red, swollen, irritated, and still burning what do i do?

Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
It seems you have got contact dermatitis due to hair removal cream.
Nothing to worry about as it will be fine soon.
Avoid use of any facewash/soap and other cosmetics on face for few days.
Use a good moisturiser like cetaphil DAM thrice a day all over face.
Apply a mild steroid cream like desonide gently over affected areas twice a day for few days.
Use high SPF sunscreen before going out in sun.
