What Causes Irritation And Itching In Clitoris After Sex?

I had sex about 14 hours ago, and showered about 6 hours after. For some reason my clitoris is irritated, kind of itchy, right under the hood.. I m curious to what I can do at home to ease the itch and stop it from being a bit sore. There was no foreplay with the clitoris.. So I m just unsure to why this is??? Thank-you
