Last Friday, I randomly choked on saliva, my throat seemed irritated after coughing violently upon choking. I went down hill from there. In the past I have been prone to really bad sinus issues. By the night s end it appeared that I was having sinus problems. By midnight I had a fever of 100. Headache, congestion from one nostril to the next. Ran a fever as high as 101 at one point . Fever free by Sunday afternoon. Head pressure and congestion continued. Never a scratchy or sore throat. Treatment: Allergy/sinus meds. (did receive relief from over-the-counter meds.) honey, lemon, ginger and (other homeopathic solutions), nasal spray. Sunday night a dry, non-productive cough began, to the point my rib cage hurts. Worst as attempt to lie down. What do I do now? The coughing is sooo irritating to my throat, not to mention exhausting. Other than the cough for the most part I feel better....some minimal off and on nasal congestion.
