What Causes Itchiness And Bleeding After The Surgical Abortion?

hey I had a surgical abortion about a month ago and I am still bleeding I got a checkup after 2 weeks and the gyno said everything is fine but now it s super irratated down there too, red and itchy. could it be a reaction to wearing pads for the past month?

Hi thanks for your question.
Irritation, redness and itching could be due to constant irritation by pads, but pads cannot cause bleeding from uterus. Check it, if the bleeding is from uterus (bleeding coming internally from vagina) or it is from outside the vaginal opening from the red itchy area. If the bleeding is from uterus then you need another examination by your gynaecologist.If it is only external bleed then it is probably due to super added infection from the bruised site by pads, for which you need a course of antibiotic and local treatment.
