What Causes Itchiness And Bumps On The Left Arm Radiating Towards Abdomen?
I work at a ALF and about 10 days ago at work I started to itch on my left forearm and noticed there were bumps. My left arm has now cleared up...still with scabs, however, it moved to my abdomen (the right side). Now it is making itself (the rash that is), from the right side of my abd to my left. It itches horribly and I am unsure of what it is.I can not afford to go to the doctor. Nor can I afford to pay ya ll $15.00 just for an answer and no medication. lol So if you could send me an email, i would appreciate it. YYYY@YYYY
Hi. As per your case history you are having allergic dermatitis. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid using any new products like soap or perfume as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on affected region. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for itching. 4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone, oral hydroxyzine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
