What Causes Itchiness And Burning Sensation On Face After Applying Picon Cream?

I had some red spots and acne marks on my cheeks. My doctor has prescribed Picon Cream, to be applied daily after shower in the morning. But it has caused me some itchiness n burning sensations on my face. Is it right to keep using this ? Or should i go for something else ???
