I think I may have balanitis, the head of my penis is itchy and very acutely sore more tender than sore now and then. There arnt any rashes or discharge. I have had night sweats whether this is also related I don t know. I have had night sweats before after stopping smoking marijuana. Symptoms have occurred in the past few days.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to balanitis. I recommend using Clotrimazole which is a very effective over-the-counter antifungal medication.

Apply it to the affected area two to three times daily for 10 days. Antibiotic pills may also be necessary. You should consult your doctor about this option of treatment and the prescription.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
