What Causes Itchiness Around Legs And Waist?

hello sir , in starting at my thighs i had itching problem then there black spot appears ,latter on my leg at different places i had the same problem,on waist ,at some places i have same problem, still sometimes there is itching ,i want to know what it is,and why it is happening ?

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I would keep a possibility of fungal infection(tinea cruris). Itchy, dark patches in the groin and belt area, suggests to me that it could be due to fungal infection over there (Tinea cruris).

I would ask you get a KOH wet mount from the scale, for a confirmatory diagnosis.

If KOH wet mount shows fungal elements, then you could apply a topical OTC antifungal cream e.g clotrimazole cream, twice daily for 4-6 weeks.

An oral antifungal e.g fluconazole 150mg once weekly for 4-6 weeks is also advisable for a confirmed fungal infection.

An OTC antihistamine e,g cetrizine 10mg once daily would help you in providing symptomatic relief from itching.
