What Causes Itching All Over The Body And Stiffness In The Feet And Hands?

I have been itching like crazy all over my body for like two months now. Tried lotions, creams, benadryl, and a pill called loratidine. Loratidine seemed to help a little but that could be a placebo affect. Now, the severe itching is associated with big red welts that bruise. On top of this my feet are so itchy and painful I cant even walk on my feet. I can barely move my toes because of swelling and pain. This also occurs in my hands. Please give me some insight. What should I do? The itching and stiffness in my feet and hands are starting to worry me.

I see through the query that you have already used antihistamines.
So,I suggest using steroids such as prednisone three times a day.
I also suggest using steroid lotion for local application.
