What Causes Itching All Over The Body?

i have itchness everywhere in my body. sometime its on face,lip( swollen), neck, back n front part of my body,breast, leg, hands and armpit. i dont know what this really is because it spreads in one particular part of my body. like if my hands is itchy today then tomorrow its somewhere eles everyday.can u plz tell me what kind of diesease this really is.

Hi,

As per your complain itching all over the body which keeps on changing the areas that itches seems most probably due to allergic reaction to some unknown allergen. As soon as your body comes in contact with the allergen there is an initiation of the allergic reaction leading to itching or urticaria.

I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Patch test, RAST test, Food Challenge test can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly. As of now you can take anti-allergics like Levocetrizine or Allegra to relieve itching.

Once the source of allergy is confirmed avoiding exposure to the same can help in preventing the outbreak of itching. An Immunotherapy can also be instilled to reduce the severity and frequency of allergy symptoms.
