What Causes Itching All Over The Body?

I have had an itching problem all over my body for the past 6months. Have seen two allergists. Three dermatologists. One rheumatologists. Had a number of patch tests. Aside from results attributable to mites, ragweed, mold and certain tree leaves there seems to be some greater unknown factor causing my problem. One of my allergists who, I have been seeing for 2 years had put together some concoction of which I received shots approximately every 2 weeks. After some 51 shots and no results they were discontinued January 12 of this year. Have also received Xolair shots. Thus far two and no relief yet. Ready to jump off a bridge.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itching all over the body. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like angiomas , acne , allergic , eczema , psoriasis and scabies. It can also occur due to poor immunity of body and due to side effect of some medicines. I would suggest you to maintain proper hygiene , take anti histamine like bendryl , apply ice pack and avoid applying any cosmetic. Consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order skin test or allergy test along with blood test. Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with antibiotics and anti inflammatory and corticosteroid ointment .
