What Causes Itching And Burning Sensation Around Neck?

My uncle's neck has been itching and then becomes inflamed. He described as feeling like fire ants biting him so he pushes the spot and often gets fluid to come out but on the downside this causes open wounds that are hard to heal. He is not diabetic.

Itching and inflammation restricted only to neck region is most likely due to infection . Infection could be due to bacteria or fungal or virus.

It would be very helpful if you could upload a picture of his neck region ,so that I could see and analyse better.

I advise you to consult your doctor or a dermatologist and get him treated. Till then you can apply calamine lotion over it .

Hi,
It seems that due to irritation by itching there might be having some infection causing oozing and skin breech.
Apply antibiotic cream locally after proper cleaning.
If infection is more give him one course of antibiotic medicine course.
gGve some antihistamine like cetrizine or Benadryl to control itching.
