What Causes Itching And Burning Sensation Between The Fingers?

I work outdoors. last night my between the fingers started to itch and burn. It got worse to were it itching and burning was unbelievable. I had to ice my hands. this morning there was a lot of swelling in my fingers and the knuckle area. Could this be an allergic reaction to poison ?

Since hx is one day duration most probably this can be alergic reaction as u mentioned. May be deu to detergent or something. But threre are ohher lot of cause for this kind of severe itching. For example fungal infection and scabies. Antihistamines will help.
