What Causes Itching And Crawling Sensation On Skin At Nights?

My mother has an itching crawling sensation at night in bed she has had her cat sleeping in her bed for a couple of years ! However the cat has passed since we have used every solution from flea sprays tea tree and witch hazel and bed seems to improve but has come back After 3weeks will we ever get rid of these parasites and now that the cat is gone is it likely it will go

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itching and crawling sensation on skin at nights. Well this is body's response to any external stimuli that irritates skin. It could sometimes occurs due to contact dermatitis, diabetes , depression , multiple sclerosis , deficiency of vitamin B 12 or anemia, allergic reaction and severe eczema. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to immediately consult dermatologist or doctor for proper evaluation of the condition and treatment. Doctor may perform skin test and patch test to find extent of infection. Doctor can give adrenaline injection. For now take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl , give cold compresses to affected area several times and apply cream containing steroids. Maintain hygiene completely.
