What Causes Itching And Dryness After Taking Birth Control Pills?

This month I started taking birth control but after a while I started feeling weird i had itching and supper dry vagina so went to the doctor last week on Wednesday. The doctor checked me and told me it looked like I had a yeast infection so she gave me one pill called fluconazole but the itching didn t go away. I went to my doctor again this Tuesday and he prescribed me another fluconazole without checking me and the itching and dryness went away almost immediately but after taking fluconazole for the second time I noticed a milky discharge with a weird smell. It s not a strong smell but its there. Only I can smell it but still. And today Thursday I got my period so I can t get checked till I m off my period what is it ?

Hi, I think you have got a candidiasis. So, it is generally associated with bacterial infections also. You may need some antibiotics to treat it. You also need some vaginal pessary. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Hope it helps. Check your sugar levels also.
