What Causes Itching And Flaking Of Earlobe?

Hello. I have had my ears peirced for over 15 years and have the same earring in. Just recently the top of my ears were itching and flacking a little bit. That cleared up and then my ear lobes With the peircing Started itching like crazy and getting crusty. I took my earrings out and that did not help. My ears continued to itch and become crusty. I can t figure what could be irritating it. Not sure it s an allergy. Is it possoble for an autoimmune disorder?

Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having eczematous dermatitis of the pinna. Steroid ointment for local application and antihistamines will be helpful.
