What Causes Itching And Foul Odour In The Penis After Unprotected Intercourse?

my balanitis will not go away. I had unprotected sex with a girl and the next day my penis head was itchy, sore and had a bad smell. Antifungal cream initially seems to soothe the inflammation some what but it does not heal entirely. If i stop applying the cream the balanitis goes back to the original level of inflammation. Ive had this problem for about 6 months now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on your description, it seems that you have infection of penis called 'balanitis'. Applying antifungal cream would not help in such cases as it is not just fungal infection, but is bacterial.
Kindly keep the genital region under proper hygiene by cleansing it with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice daily.
Always use condoms when you have intercourse as it would prevent such infections.
You need to take an appropriate course of oral antibiotics for its treatment.
For this, you need to get your urethral swab culture and sensitivity test done.
Kindly consult Physician with the report for institution of an appropriate course of antibiotics.
Abstain from sexual activities till the symptoms subside completely.
