General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If the vagina feels dry then local lubricants and estrogen gel can help with the symptoms. Possible other causes of the symptoms are if you use local chemicals there it may cause some dermatitis or local reaction and cause you to have local irritation and itchiness. Try to avoid the shaving cream locally and any other possible chemical like washes or soaps and see if this will bring relief.

Candida is sometimes the cause and taking some miconazole cream for a few days to notice if it helps would be worth trying.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
