Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You should get your immune system checked out, and get yourself evaluated for
diabetes, which is a possibility considering the fact that you have been having recurrent infections.
Now, the problem with MRSA is that it is resistant to Methicillin. That is a problem as it will respond to only certain antibiotics, which need to be decided on before your therapy starts.
At the same time, be careful as this infection is prone to spread. Ensure you use that antibiotics for the entire course as prescribed by your clinician. MRSA refers to Methicillin Resistant Staph aureus.
So them saying its STAPH, is probably the same thing. Additionally, the non healing of your infections is probably not related to your
heart disease. Eat healthy, cut down on oily foods and get yourself evaluated for diabetes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan
