Itching on my whole neck area under chin, no visible signs of any issue. Also having periodic headaches or actually it feels like a short in a nerve, having a burning sensation. it does not last long. Just finished 4 wks of thereapy for pain in my shoulders and neck area. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to occipital neuralgia. Occipital neuralgia is most commonly caused by pinched nerves in the root of a person's neck. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest to use cold compresses for local application.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
