What Causes Itching And Rash In Vaginal Area?

I just got out of the shower and I shaved my vagina. And when I got out it was itching So I put some lotion on it and like broke out in a rash. So I went and looked at my razor and it was a little rusted. What does that mean. Will I be Okay? Or should I go get checked.
