What Causes Itching And Red Bumps On The Thighs And Pubic Area?
I have tiny red bumps on my thighs and the pubic area that first looked like razor burn but then got worse and now have puss. and I am getting severe itchy dry skin on the very inner thigh near the labia. it has turned my skin a darker color and is embarassing. what is causing this and how can I prevent it?
You might be suffering from Folliculitis. It is a superficial bacterial infection of hair follicle. If it is associated with itching then the cause may be fungal and that is known as Malassezia Folliculitis. If itching is not there then the cause is bacterial. Treatment depends on the exact etiology. If it is bacterial the topical fusidic acid is the treatment of choice and if it is fungal then topical Terbinafine with Oral Itraconazole is preferred.
