What Causes Itching And Redness In Genital Area After Taking Calcium Citrate-vitamin D3?
I have been taking Calcium Citrate+D3 for several months now, plus one 5,000 mg D3 daily. When I consistently take it (at lease 3 tablets a day) I have a constant problem with itching and redness in the genital area, especially at night, which keeps me awake. When I stop taking it for a day, the itching and redness disappears. Could this possible be from the Calcium Citrate+D3? I have taken Oscal in the past, could I possible take this instead? Thank you.
Dear fiend, thank you for your consultation.as you have said that itching and redness happens when you take Calcium Citrate+D3 and this disappears when you drop your usual dose of medicine then it proves that the itching and redness is due to drug allergy.sometimes the allergic reaction does not happen if you change your medicine.so Yes,you can shift to Oscal and observe if allergy again happens with Oscal.if again allergy comes back with Oscal also then you please contact with your doctor for a clinical check-up and possible change in medicine.best wishes for you.thank you.
