What Causes Itching And Redness On Thigh?

Hello, I am a male , 42 years of age and weigh approx. 255 lbs. The inside of my right thigh, around my crotch have turned an embarrassing shade of red and it will not go away. I got chafed and irritated there while playing golf. It was like I had diaper rash. It was itching and very irritated. I applied neosporan first. Didn't seem to help. I then applied zinc oxide. Did not seem to help. After about 4 days, I tried aloe. Two days later, for two days, I used hydrocortizone. The aloe and hydrocortizone seemed to reduce all irritatation and itching, however, the skin is strangely red and it doesn't seem to go away. It's like I now have a red patch, like red birthmark between my thigh and my groin. How can I get this to go away?
