What Causes Itching And Swelling Around The Ankles?

i went the er last year because of my legs around the ankle area and slightly above was red , itchy, and very painful and swollen, the er doc said it was vasculitis and gave me antibiotics and pain meds. well its comes back every so often sometimes not too badly but like this time, it flared up 3 days ago but today my left fooy ankle area and calf are swollen red and very painful.this time there are small welted areas in a couple of placws within,will i ever get rid of this? where can i find some pictures to compare now that i kmow3 there are different types i

Hello! Welcome to HCM!

Is it on the inner side of ankles? Are there any visible veins over the legs? Any factors which increases or decreases the symptoms. We should rule out the possibility of varicose veins and venous insufficiency. If possible, it's better if you can upload the pictures of it. You should get ultrasound Doppler of venous system to look for status of veins.
