What Causes Itching And Swelling At Vaginal Opening While On Mirena?

I had the mirena place in January and its april and iv been having swelling of my vaginal lips and itiching. I once had a yeast infection I dont have a very bad odor but i have a small odor but no pain when i urinate and no change in my discharge thats not normal. Do i need to see my ob because the swelling is so bad that i can hardly walk

Hello,

The following are few causes of swelling at the vaginal opening:
1) Allergic contact dermatitis
2) Irritant contact dermatitis
3) Infection
4) Urinary tract infection

You seem to have severe swelling and inflammation at vaginal opening. Please do consult a gynecologist as soon as possible. To relieve swelling and pain, tab. Ibuprofen or Naproxen can be used.
