What Causes Itching And Swelling In The Nostrils And Lips?

The sides of my nostrils are red and itchy and my lips are swollen, red and itchy. I have been to an allergist where she drew blood where she has prescribed steroids but has not cleared up. I have been to my GP where blood was drawn but nothing showed on the blood test.

Hi,

Your symptoms look like allergic reaction only. At times, initial results might not show you appropriately however later the allergy test might be positive.

For now, you can take anti allergic medicine like Fexofenadine or Levocetirizine. You can apply Caladryl lotion or Benadryl cream over the red areas. Do ice packs over the rashes and lips.

You can also get a ster shot and see if it improves. If nothing works consult your Allergist again and get rechecked.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
